School teacher found dead, police initiates probe | KNO

Srinagar, March 28 (KNO) : Police in Mendhar sub division has started an investigation into mysterious death of a man hailing from Balnoi whose body was recovered in the area under mysterious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as 54-year-old Gulzar Ahmed, son of Khan Mohammad resident of Mankote village who was posted as a government teacher in Sagra high school. Police officials told KNO that locals from the area spotted the body lying in Balnoi area of Mendhar on Thursday morning after which police team reached on the spot and took body into its possession. Post mortem was conducted in Mendhar hospital and investigation into the matter has been started. Officials informed that family members of deceased have stated that he left for Poonch on Wednesday morning and then stayed in house of a friend in Mankote Balnoi area last night with his body was recovered in the morning today. His family members alleged that deceased has been murdered under a well hatched conspiracy and police should conduct probe and book the murderers at the earliest.(KNO)
